Lovern King began her career at The Evergreen State College (TESC) as faculty in 1978 and earned Emeritus status in 1995. She was a faculty member whose teaching focus is in the area of the social sciences. From 1991 to 1992 Lovern sponsored Individual Learning Contracts.
